FREQUENTLY ASKED

Direct answers, no detours

When is the tax return deadline?

31 March for a natural person and 30 April for a legal entity, covering the previous financial year. Filing is electronic and mandatory — paper returns are not accepted under any circumstances.

How high do late-filing penalties go?

Up to 60 days late: EGP 3,000 to 50,000. More than 60 days late: EGP 50,000 to 2,000,000. Delay costs far more than the service itself.

My activity is not registered for tax. What now?

As the state widens its survey of the informal economy, the activity will be registered sooner or later. Registering by choice is simpler and cheaper, and it prevents the matter being treated as tax evasion. The procedure is straightforward and we handle it at the office.

I need an income certificate for social housing. What do I bring?

The full list is in the individuals section above. In short: national ID, marriage and birth certificates, proof of income, a recent utility bill, documents for any additional income, and a social insurance printout. The certificate is issued stamped and certified by the office.

What does company formation actually require?

The incorporation deed, tax card, commercial register, social insurance file, and VAT registration certificate. If your activity involves import or export, we obtain that card as well.

Do you work with clients outside Cairo?

Yes. Most tax procedures are now electronic, so communication and follow-up run over WhatsApp and email. Visits to the office are limited to steps that genuinely require a signature or original documents.
